János Kővágó is the head of Grant Thornton’s Corporate Finance practice in Hungary, covering some of the neighbouring countries from Budapest as well. Before joining Grant Thornton in 2015, János spent close to 20 years in investment banking and worked for leading investment banks such as Daiwa Securities, ING Barings, Nomura and Citibank in various senior management positions. János has a robust experience in M&A, ECM/DCM and structured finance deals, including, but not limited to cross border M&A transactions, IPOs, sovereign and corporate debt issues.
János Kővágó graduated at the Foreign Trade College of Budapest and obtained his MBA diploma in a UK business school. János is a registered stock broker in Hungary and possesses the Series 7, American broker licence as well.
