Grant Thornton Valuation Kft., is one of the oldest (established in 1990) asset valuation companies in Hungary with an international background – formerly called American Appraisal Hungary Vagyonértékelő Kft. – which has been a member Grant Thornton’s international network since 2016 and also operates as an independent company within the group. The principal activity of the company is asset valuation, and specifically

  • fixed asset valuation

 

The reports prepared by us range in their topics from the valuations of single items of machinery and equipment to real estates and complex enterprises.  The provided valuation services are used for financial reporting, company transformation, collateral financing, insurance, sale or purchase transactions, liquidations, mergers and acquisitions, etc.  As a member of an international network, we have been in contact with many financial institutions for years, and we are on the list of their recommended fixed asset appraisers and independent technical advisers.

Based on our experience, what is most important for our clients in their decision making, and what tips the scales in our company’s favour, is our independence, as well as the fact that we are almost the only Hungarian asset valuation company listed as an approved appraiser and technical expert by all major banks (currently 17). As the reports prepared by us are mainly used for the preparation of sale and purchase transactions, accounting transactions, mergers, loan applications and/or project financing, cooperation with banks is essential. What is also important to note is that our company deals with the valuation of residential real estate only in exclusive cases.
